He hired me in 1987 to help out in Indonesia with a UNDP program to assist with the development of secondary education in all provinces. It was the start of a friendship which lasted from then until now.
He blessed us with his friendship and love and humour. We were truly fortunate to be able to share many years with him.

I met him in 1982. in the city of Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia.
He gave training to chemistry teachers in Bali Province. I was one of the teachers who was lucky to meet him.
