Passed peacefully at Bellinger River District Hospital. Late of Marian Grove, Toormina, formerly Inverell. Dearly beloved wife of Noel Coote (dec’d). Loving step-mother of Nerallee, Michael, Sondra, Peter (dec’d), Suzanne and John. Adored grandmother and great-grandmother of her grandchildren.

How can I describe my very special Aunty May. Although we lived miles/kilometres apart I was able to be a part of your life in my early "bubba" days at Nanna Andy's and through the multitude of many phone calls you shared with my Mum your beloved sister Bett over your lives. Your life was incredibly exciting and adventurous and I was captivated by all that you did and achieved as I grew up. Another world! A life that I came to much more understand as I became an adult and beyond and was in awe of those achievements. When you came to visit us at Port Lincoln both when I was a teenager and later as an adult was always a monumental event. My Mum was in awe of those achievements-your success in your PMG career, and your incredible acceptance of becoming a stepmother to 6 children with your new husband Noel and the incredible family that developed. The memory of you and Mum holding each other's hand whilst sitting on the lounge in conversation at Dublin St on those special trips with Sondra. A deeply etched memory I will treasure forever. Now together reunited and resting in peace with your sister Bett and your Mum and Dad (Nanna Andy and Grandad)...Jill
