Patricia Joan 'Joanie' Eggins

I was hoping to be able to attend, but unfortunately I will be away at the time of Joanie’s service. There is so much to celebrate and remember about Joanie. I always used to think, “I hope I’m as active as Joanie when I’m her age.” She was such a wonderful example of living life fully.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Please know that the world was a better place for having Joanie in it.

I am hoping to get there Murray, if I can get a lift.
If not I just want to say what a privilege it has been to know Joan, a loving, caring, active lover of life.
She will certainly be sadly missed by all of us.
So sorry for this terribly painful shock,big hugs

Dear Murray and Family,

We were all so saddened to hear of Joan’s passing.

We will miss hearing her voice saying “good morning” or “good afternoon” as we walked down the lane to the beach each day. Reflecting on it now, it makes us realise that it really is the little things that mean so much when they are gone.

We only saw Joan earlier this year, coming home after hockey, and remember thinking how amazing she was — getting out and enjoying life.

We are thinking of you all at this very sad time and send our sincere condolences.

May you take some comfort in knowing that Joan is now peacefully resting in God’s care.
